• Purple bougainvillea against a white, net hammock. Nikon DSLR D7000 with a zoom lens ... camera focused sharply on the flowers .. creating a boche (blur) of the backlit hammock in the background. Late afternoon diminishing light.
• Visit to new restaurant, CocoMaya for lunch. Use of Macro setting on P7000 and a wee fill flash, creating the "sparkle" in the glass where I wanted it on the customer.
• Late afternoon, looking west into light. Nikon P7000 out of housing... set on my personal BW settings for good contrast. Fast fast speed to cut the light and stop action.
• Jack and Ray climbing large boulder together. Very lucky shot ... see it shoot it ... never wait, because it will be GONE. P7000 in underwater housing. For a special story see my YouTube: http://youtu.be/3qdA2zBTM3c
And your kids will like it too.
• Guavaberry dogs, Pearl .. and new puppy, Roxie, playing on beach in late afternoon light. P7000 out of housing... set in "Sport" mode. Fast fast speed.
• The back area of the Spring Bay Park looking half in and half out of water with P7000 in housing. This takes some practice and some very calm water.
• I title this shot "The Encounter" -- this is a rare sighting of a juvenile queen trigger fish (about 4.5 in.) ... who had made its home and territory the buoy. It was not afraid at all .. just curious. I was overjoyed with this opportunity.
P7000 in housing.
• Handsome Gorda Family tucked in Spring Bay boulders. DSLR D7000. Use of environment to bounce light. I also shot them last year .. Layla's getting big.
• I peeked my head out of the water with the P7000 in the housing as I thought it was about to storm and grabbed this image. A seal's eye-view.
• OK, this is probably my all-time favorite. But I really shouldn't tell. This fish was so relaxed and not threatened .. that I had the time to put the P7000 in the housing on a "macro" for close-up setting. Then I backed off and didn't bother it further, just thrilled to make its acquaintance.
• "Beach Dad" -- I saw the light happening and shot. This is one of those shots that speak many words and the kind I love to capture. P7000 out of the housing.
• Sunset with silhouette and reflection. P7000 out of housing.
