Event work is special to me. I love to partake in the spirit of the function. As a photojournalist, my aim is to create images that tell the story plus depict the energy that is present. Most of all, I want everyone involved to be pleased by my presence -- or to not notice that I am around at all. Because I work with a knowledge of good hand-held shooting techniques, there is no production with me, no lighting towers to get in the way or wires for people to trip over. My captures are large RAW digital files using high-end Nikon DSLR cameras. I understand the use of natural and ambiant light plus the employment of effective "bounce" strobe. I enjoy working closely with brides and planners -- communicating details that make my images exceptional.
