  • I had the opportunity as a junior at Colorado Woman’s College (a small liberal arts school in Denver) ...
  • ... to spend my junior year with 15 other students living and going to school in Vienna Austria.
  • With our wonderful chaperones Professor and Mrs. Luebben. This journey was a life-changing event for all of us.
  • I went on to develop a career in photography and film-making.
  • Here, learning my new Agfa 35 mm camera, a gift from my father.
  • To the North a few hundred miles in communist territory sat Prague in Czechoslovakia, and to the East along the Danube River sat Budapest in Hungary... again, behind the “Iron Curtain.”
  • Vienna in 1965 (the blue dot) was situated practically right on the boarder of the Communist/Russian occupied “Iron Curtain”
  • As a group, we made eye-opening road trips to these cities ... leaving the “free world” security of Vienna.
