  • RESERVATION: at Marrakech Riad -- three nights inside medina. <a href="http://www.marrakech-riad.co.uk">http://www.marrakech-riad.co.uk</a> -- contact Reservations. Abdelatif meet us and helped us park the car -- took bags and we walk to Riad (renovated old home) in center part of old walled city.
  • No cars in this part of walled city -- just bikes, donkeys, and motor cycles to mow you down as you MUST stay out of THEIR WAY.
  • Marrakech Riad was lovely -- perfect -- and staff was very helpful getting us oriented to this very foreign and exciting place.
  • You could always walk and explore for a couple of hours then come back and "hang out" in the comfortable upper covered courtyard off your room.
  • over a wonderful cup of mint tea during any time of the day -- an instant picker-upper.
  • You could map out your walking excursions .... throughout the city ... the Riad even provided us with a CELL phone all programed so if we got LOST, we could ring for a RESCUE -- especially after dark. We didn't need it -- phew.
  • Marrakech is a safe world, but it is very foreign and the streets are narrow and winding -- like a giant maze.
