Crossing through the High Atlas Mountains coming South from Marrakech, we journeyed through the high desert (in some ways similar to areas in our SW) finally stopping in the town of Tinghir for the night and next morning. With great luck we met a very nice Berber man who's family owned the hotel -- Mr. Tayeb Alaoui. He attended school in the states and gave us a guided tour the next morning, introduced us to many many aspects of this unique region that we would have never learned experienced first hand ...
